The
Macedonian Women Jurist Association “TEMIS” Skopje is a non-governmental,
non-political association established on April 17 2002 and their
goal is: Professional training and exchange of experience in order
to improve the status of women in the social and political life.
The founders of TEMIS are:

Vice President;
• Snezana KALESKA Attorney At Law from Skopje;
• Biljana CAKMAKOVA Attorney At Law from Skopje;
• Ljubica RUBEN Manager of MENS LEGIS and
• Imran OSMANI, Vice Deputy Public Prosecuter of Skopje.
According to
its Statute, the Association has got the position of Secretary
of the Association. This position is executed by Vesna KOSTOVSKA,
Graduate At Law with Bar exam and six years practice as Attorney
at Law.
The Association numbers 150 members
and is with the tendency of enlargement. The members of the Association
come from different
religious, ethnic and national background. Most of them are Lawyers,
Judges, Deputy Public Prosecutors, Notaries, graduated jurists.
There are also other members from different professions interested
in issues which we are dealing with, such as psychologists, social
workers etc.
TEMIS is open for co-operation with domestic and foreign NGOs,
governmental institutions and other organisations.
MISSION
Through our work we want to raise individual and public awareness
in order to get support for our programmes and projects aimed
at improving the status of women and enhance gender equality.
