The “Euro Balkan” Institute was founded in 1999, when the Research Centre in Gender Studies was also established. Our mission is focused on adopting, disseminating and implementing the ideas and policies of the European Union, and promoting trans-Atlantic co-operation. The future development and prosperity of Macedonia, as well as the exchange of ideas, are central to our goals. This institution supports the idea of regional integration and creation of an authentic European identity, culture and civil society in the Balkans.
“Euro Balkan” plans to prepare a complex and professional analysis needed for the creation of policies in the spirit of regional co-operation and integration, and will provide opportunities for new activities of non-governmental organisations and for the creation of similar institutions.
